Research: My research interest is located in the area of optical and transport properties of semiconductor nanostructures, which includes optical spectroscopy and magnetotransport measurements of nanoparticles and self-assembled quantum dots. Within this area, I am strongly interested in time-resolved transport measurements of quantum dots interaction with a two-dimensional electron or hole gas. This is of fundamental interest to study non-equillibrium electron and hole states in such zero-dimensional nano-objects as well as testing the limits of future nanomemories. Actual projects: Coordinator of the joint research project “Coupling of single quantum dots to two-dimensional systems” (QD2D), which is funded by the European Commission within the NanoSci-ERA initiative. www.qd2d.eu Co-applicant of the sub-project "Assembly and characterization of graphene-based Lithium-Ion batteries" within the BMBF-funded joint research project "Usage of graphene in energy technologies" Co-applicant of the joint research project within the Mercator Research Center Ruhr: "Revealing the level structure of electron, hole and excition systems in self-organized InAs quantum dots" (Aufschlüsselung der Niveaustruktur von Elektronen-, Löcher- und Exzitonen-Systemen in selbstorganisierten InAs Quantenpunkten) Publications CV | ||
